Well, maybe it's just me but that seems about 100 times more palatable than the opposite ("no sex but clingy.") 
It seems to me that if a woman has had too few sexual partners, one of the following likely applies:
1. She's insecure about sex/doesn't have much of a sex drive. [NO THANKS]
2. She's a vacuous robot responding to social pressures regarding the supposed "immorality" of promiscuous behavior. [UGH!]
3. She's extremely clingy and tenaciously latches on to the first that she comes across. [DANGER, DANGER!]
There are certainly a few exceptions, but I'd say that covers the vast majority of them.
I don't want to paint you with the wrong brush, but it seems to me that most guys who frown on women having too many partners do so because they are afraid they won't stack up (and they may well be right in that regard.) That, or they're living in some ridiculous fruity fantasy world and believe that their soul mate is out there somewhere waiting for them and no one else and it's their destiny to find THE ONE and marry them and have, like, a million babies! I would rant on, but I don't want to lose my dinner. |

Actually thats how I do most of my hiring. The sheepish, nerdy engineering PhD five years my senior walks in and I ask: "how many sexual partners have you had?"
If he says anything greater than one, he's clearly a lying bastard and I not only do not hire him, but I try to get his security clearance revoked. |

LOL bs...and even if you did, as silene pointed out, the number of sexual partners doesnt define ones character. not saying that some 18yr old girl should have 100 partners but on the same token, why should she have had only 1? (this is just thought provoking, not that i think kids at 12yrs old should be having sex) |

Ok yeah, I completely made that up. But now that I thought of it, I must admit it's a little tempting to try to spring that question on someone in an interview... |
