Also, if anyone wants a printed/tracked copy, I should have plenty of them with me this weekend.

solid mix rob. the last 20 mins were my favorite part.

i only got to track 9 before i got to where i was going. i liked the first two tracks, i thought you were building it up nicely. the third track seemed like it kind killed the flow you were getting. tracks 7, 8, and 9 were ace with some nice transitions. i really liked what i heard, nice job rob.

A friend who is overseas wanted a copy of the set divided into tracks, so here's a link to a *.zip with the mix divided into tracks with all relevant label information in the ID3 tags:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/st97i2

If anyone wants to host this somewhere permanently, that'd be great - otherwise just the Sendspace link for now.

well here's my review. from 11 on this is a great mix (last 30 mins).

the first part was a bore. track #3 didn't fit in at all (though by itself it's fantastic, maybe you busted an early nut on this one). helen cornell is a track that should've never been made.

you're had better days turner. then again this is all just personal preference.

cheers!

Well color me surprised, I don't think I've ever gotten such bad reviews for something I was so proud of.

Wind has definitely been taken out of my sails on this one :(

i didn't like the one track, everything else i heard so far was good. cheer up buckaroo. leaving out the mushroom track was an automatic .5 point deduction. :p

i didn't say all of it didn't excite me. just the first part failed to intitialize any interest, and by the time the second half started rolling i was still a bit in shock over track #4 (what a seriously terrible tune). but once we got past Chica-Go i was more and more into it. to echo ms.dziemian's statement - the last 20 minutes were by far the best.

I really just don't understand why it is everyone seems to hate "Helen Cornell."

I get the "personal preference" etc. comments - but the reaction of people to that tune has been absolute hatred.

I just don't get it, but meh - it is what it is.

it just drives me crazy because i want mega-gay Chelonis vocals, like One & One and I Don't Know. :gsmile:

about to throw this on again so i can hear it all the way through...

I guess no matter how much you understand that when you put something that roughly qualifies as "art" out there, you have to be able to deal with criticism - it's just frustrating for me to have been so sure this was exactly what I wanted to do (and I still be pretty sure), and that it would prove enjoyable for others even if only by virtue of the amount of effort I put into it.

It just seems like for the most part, I was very, very wrong - which just leaves me disappointed in myself (though I'm guess I probably shouldn't be). Just a weird feeling I guess.
