also, i know what you girls are talkin about w/ the shoe situation... my friend came w/ me this past saturday night and she got glass in her foot from a smashed bottle on the floor... luckily it wasn't bad |

i mean $25 is more than reasonable..no problem at all payin that..but i remember back when carl cox came and it was like $10 for presales and around 15 at the door....carl cox, from what ive heard, is one of the most expensive djs to bring in on top of it....just curious |
Because we're not New York, where any given night 2000 people will show up for a major headliner. That only happens on Saturday's here, and even so, the risk is a lot higher. What kills us here is the fact that promoters in NY, LA, Chicago, Miami, etc. are all willing to fork over $25000 and charge a minimum of $25. Sorry, but I don't know too many of promoters down here willing to fork over $25K for a DJ. |

I have always been a huge PVD fan, since I first heard his music productions in the late 90s, Seven Ways/ Out There and Back era stuff, I was hooked on his sound. I will agree, his production work has gotten a bit softer since then but he still absolutely tears the roof off when he performs live...His live shows are way different than production stuff (I mean like Reflections and In Between, not so great from a progtrance/tech banging type standpoint) - but still his livesets from the recent years have been awesome, maybe even better in some aspects from when he was making his worldwide debut about 10 years ago...
So, I've seen PVD live about 6 times, first at Hyperia in Houston in 2001, then at Dallas at Fair Park in 2002 for Meltdown 4...then I saw him at Blue in '03 and '06, and at the Lizard Lounge where he played outdoors in 2005. My guess is that's what they will do with this show, it will be an outdoor sort of event, which is more like a concert or rave, at least as close as you can get in 2008. The sound wasn't great the last time I saw him in '05 at LL - the bass was cutting up, it just wasn't good sound. The sound both times at Blue was incredible. The sound at Fair Park in '02 was pretty great cause they went all out. When I went to see Armin at the LL last year, I had to leave 5 min into his set because the place was practically unbearable - could not move, could not breath, people were shoving...it was a madhouse! I hope this show is not like that because I definitely want to see the whole set, and dance if I can. Lizard Lounge is definitely not my venue of choice for seeing any HUGE name talent/producer/DJ because it just gets overcrowded and it's just basically no fun in the end. I haven't been to some of the other newer upscale clubs other than Blue like Purgatory but I hear that is a great club. There are a few other places that might be better than LL, but I guess for now we have to take what we can get.

| the only comment i can leave about seein PVD in texas was at blue in '06...cool club, great sound, great vibe, but goddam i was pissed he only played for only 2 hrs!! obviously cause the club has to close at 2am....and if im not mistaken he was there on a thurs nite as well...anyways im flying in for this show at LL and with it being a saturday nite he better play a minimum of 3 hours but im hoping they just let him rip the roof of the place and go from 12-4....but that place does get way to crowded...it was to crowded for BT in august and now were talkin PVD?! i hear nothing but great things about palladium and how much room they have...cant imagine why it wouldnt be there. |

| Lizard Lounge needs fans and more A/C!!! This show is going to be extremely packed. If you try to get to the bathroom from the main bars it takes likes 10 minutes and that doesn't count the number of times you have to stop to dance. It is going to be great though regardless |
