Footworks 'capacity' is questionable....

I remember one time for Eric Entrena I was inside, and everytime i went outside for a smoke I saw this huge line that they wasnt moving because the venue was supposedly at 'capacity'.... even until like 3am, a bunch of my friends didnt even end up getting in.... and honestly inside there was still a good amount of room especially towards the back

I didnt understand why they were being so strict about it

well maybe "capacity" means not rammed like sardines in a cane, but with actual dancing space and air to breathe?:conf:

my apologies for that sounding like jibberish

My plan was to go to Footwork as well (because of TIL's cancellation) until I heard about The Gallery switching music formats on the 23rd. I've been on a tight budget recently so I decided that I'd rather go to one of the last house events in The Gallery instead of Footwork.

it was? wow

It was cancelled and re-scheduled (feb. 29th) by 4PM which gave clubbers (who paid enough attention) to make other plans and what not.

Better than arriving at 11pm and finding out then.

nice :)
I might make it out to TiL then
i'll keep you posted :)

deep dish at TiL tought me a valuable lesson. Go to clubs early, its much nicer to be inside sipping on a drink than waiting in line outside. jamming > fashionably late

Yeah I agree, but I am just saying they could have easily let the 30 people in that had been waiting in the cold for like 3 hours and there would still be actual dancing space an air to breathe....

and risk getting shut down if a cop or the fire marshal happens to drop by and sees that the place is over the capacity?

hmmmm......

+1 on Yohan's comment
and also - you let 30 ppl in, what about the rest? where to draw the mark?

MarkT
you draw the mark at letting people in who've been in line for an hour...not the turds walking up and bribing the door staff ;)
