you meet a person for the first time IRL and they tell you how they remember that post you made in that thread and it was so funny/mean/good/interesting (pick anyone of those) and it was something you hardly remember posting? which is funny because it totally proves that people judge you by what you write on here. |
I have good memory so it doesn't happen to me, but I met a few TAs and would bring up their post and they wouldn't remember it lol.
One drama or what not was when I met Skillton at Guv, I was on the patio, he came up to me and was like hey I know you, I was like lol it's you, so are you gonna TRY to kick my ass? (Cause he was talking trash before saying that I look like a rich queer something like that) And he just stood there.. |

UGH! Too often! People quote me I've said MONTHS ago, and I forget what I posted after a week, lol. Not to mention that I never know what to reply when someone makes that comment, cause that discussion has long been put to rest. "Uhhh yay me?" |

| People who meet me for the first time in real life usually say, "Oh. I thought you were a total !" just because of some of the things I say on here. You honestly can't judge someone's personality until you have spent a bit of time getting to know them in person. |

Cause we all know that saying stuff behind a computer screen DOES NOT add to the confidence factor. |

there are some notable exceptions (you, dima/cosmic fur, vivid, the biggest of them all) but for the most part, your online persona, especially over time, becomes a quite accurate representation of who you are as a person. that being said, there has only been a handful of TAs that i actively would not want to have anything to do with in real life....some wankerdom can't be faked over the internet |

I know I've said it time and time again, but based on some of the replies in this thread, it's worth saying again. If you act like a jackass on the internet, you can't use cop outs such as "it's just the internet" or "you take the internet too seriously". The internet is a means of communication. If I called someone up on the phone and acted like a jackass, "it's just the phone" would not be a valid excuse. I don't see why "it's just the internet" should be.
This is my reasoning for judging people based on what they post here. There are a couple of members on this board that continuously try to piss people and incite arguments for their own entertainment. I judge these people as not worth meeting, much less getting to know. I don't really care what they're like in person. |
