| Despite all the people I have argued with over the years of TA, I've rarely had someone not like me in person. I maybe a bit more mild in my manners but I find when people get to know me, they realize im too innocent, honest and brash in what I say to be regarded as insulting/malicious. |

I understand what you're saying. I'm definitely not opposed to meeting new people. However, what happens sometimes that I do find annoying is when people come up to me and say "Hey you're Lisa-Loo right?" and then proceed to go into this big "getting to know you" schpeal of "so are you in school? what are you taking? are you from toronto? what parties have you gone to? how many brothers and sisters do you have?"...and so on and so forth, while I'm at a club. Not the time nor the place to have this conversation. |
pfew, good thing i didn't come up to you when i saw you at BBR one time..lol...I've noticed you at a few parties at BBR i think but was actually always kinda intimidated by your "internet"-self..haha
anyway...
I have met a few people and they don't come off like their "internet" selves at all. For example Dima(Cosic_fur) is really not an inconsiderate prick..haha..(Dima.. we gotta party at WEMF again!) |

Hahahaha! If you come up and say hi to me I'm not going to be a bitch. Just don't try to start some intimate conversation with me b/c when I'm at BBR, I want to DANCE! |

Pretty much same here.
I hate talking at the clubs. Too freaking loud and I can't concentrate on the music.
But at house parties or BBQ or at a patio or something, I enjoy talking with other TAs.
|
I can understand if this happens right in the middle of the dance floor, but think about how many TAs you've met and have gotten to know at clubs. It's fine to act like this now that you have lots of TA friends, but what about before when you didn't?
For me personally, I prefer to meet people in the scene through mutual friends. I don't really go up to TAs to introduce myself unless some of their posts have intruiged me, or if some of my current friends have good things to say about them. I used to go to TA meet-ups, but I don't anymore because all that will happen is, due to knowing so many people in the scene already, I'll just forget all of their names and they'll feel insulted the next time I see them lol. The chances of me meeting a cool person through a reference is a lot higher than me meeting a random person off a message board. |

It's pretty much how I feel. It's to huge a scene just on TOTA to try and remember every name I hear, s I try and limit it in small amounts.

What I have noticed is and some of you will actually agree with me that there are many different groups/clicks here on TA that only post or reply to their own group members |

.....its said by many of the most respectable people here on TA....You cant say they are nobodys or they are people who start with others. These are people who have been here for a while and still feel that there are these uninviting clicks or groups on TA. |
ya, id agree with you.
But also lisa's comment is worth noting/realising.

You can`t be friends with everybody. If you're going to become friends with someone, it'll just happen. |
