Totally forgot to give credit to Barry and Kris as well. Didn't hear the whole set from either, but sounded like some real talent going on back there. great to know there is a place to get some of that good stuff when we need it.

i finally made it back to viva. it was such a good feeling being back to where it all started for me. without viva, i wouldn't have had the experiences i did before i turned 19. this is why i'm glad that these sort of events are coming back and i hope that it'll be back to the way it used to be.
barry played an awesome opening set. starting was really good and bumping and the closer to the end he pulled out some bombs which made us raise our hands way up in the air.
i can say for sure that jon's set was the tranciest set i've heard. i loved that it wasn't the usual tracklist that a lot of the other dj's play. this had really refreshing uplifting sounds. i don't know how many times i had my hands in the air. must've been a record. even though he played for 3 hours, the time seemed to fly by. i would very much like to see him back in the future.
before jon ended, i was looking at the dj booth and saw that they had turntables there. i thought how unfortunate it is that djs don't use turntable that much these days. and just as the jon's set was ending, they take the covers off and kris comes on and puts a vinyl on. i was really impressed with that. major respect to you man for still using vinyl. unfortuently i couldn't stay but i heard the first couple of tracks which were bombs.
thanks again to navid and the whole rio crew for making this happen because this is what us real tranceaddicts need.
wtf of the night...seeing a food menu at the bar consisting of penne pasta with alfredo sauce, chicken nuggets, fries, pizza pockets and that sorta stuff. it was really wierd seeing that.

The tracks this guy pulled out were unfrigginbelievable, I felt like I was high! I was so happy when he told me he'll put me on his promo list, so hopefully he'll let me bang out some of those tunes there again ;)
3 Hours definitley flew by! I wanted more! Even though I was coming on after, I told him I just wanted him to keep playing because I was loving it, but he insisted :p What a nice dude too! He was so hyped and happy to be there, so full of energy, was great to feed of dj's like him, you can tell he has a true passion for what he does, much respect!
Thanks to everyone for coming out and your nice comments. I had people asking me for requests left right and center, sorry I couldn't play everything everyone wanted, but I did what I could with the flow I was going with. I thought I'd bring down a bit from what Jon was playing, as I got into the harder tech tracks then into more melodic classics to finish it off. I appreciate everyone who stayed for most of my set. After the workout Jon gave everyone, I just kept asking how the was I supposed to come on after that? :crazy: :crazy:
I'll try and put a tracklist together as to what I played, if I can remember everything. As smuncky said, it was nice to throw down some vinyls again too :D

Nada, it was great that you remember that we met at Viva originally and then you got to see me spin there, it was a trip when I thought about it. And I have been playing for years, you prolly didn't know because I never lived here. Thanks so much for you comments :D
Peter, happy birthday again mate! Sounded and looked like you were having the time of your life! Great pics, great to see you again! My opening track was Viframa - Cristalle (Katana's Intro Mix), from 2002.
Agian, Jon O'Bir is the ing man! Thanks to everyone who came out, you all gave me another amazing experience too!!!

it's a folder i made for those pics but then screwed everything up cuz photobucket's system of folders is stupid. so i just put the pics in there until the folder gets filled up. so it's best to ignore that :o ;)
