High Steel: The Daring Men Who Built The World's Greatest Skyline

i'm currently only about a third of the way through, but it's probably the most captivating book i've read in a while. really interesting and well-written nonfiction about the iron and steel workers who built a lot of the skyscrapers and bridges in Manhattan.

before that, i read Balzac And The Little Chinese Seamstress, which was also very good.

Haruki Murakami - Sputnik Sweetheart

This book was truly excellent - the combination of African mysticism, magical realism, and dystopian authoritarianism was like George Orwell meets Gabriel Garcia Marquez. Highly recommended.

I'm now reading Paul Feyerabend's "Against Method". I'm addicted to it, and I wish I was reading it right now :p

I bought that at the end of September and I have yet to read it - it's gathering dust - I'll get to it, eventually. :)

How was it?
