Do you mean that the free filter has no effect on the vst? If so, make sure that the filter is positioned BELOW the VST in the effect chain. It has to be in order. |

by effect chain you mean the bottom part where all the automation/audio clips are? the free filter is placed underneath the vst.. but it still has no effect on the vst?!..

i think what he means is if the VST is an effect itself, then you want the filter to be after it in the chain...but you are probably talking about VST in terms of an instrument, right? or maybe not...if indeed you are referring to a VST as an instrument, then the placement of the filter in the chain shouldnt have anything to do with it...i think. |

No, by effect chain I mean the effects in the mixer.
Do you have a VST instrument loaded into a mixer insert? If so, the filter must be below the VST plugin. Im referring to the 8 effect slots within a mixer insert (channel). So lets say you are using Vanguard. If Vanguard is in slot 4, then filter or any other effects for that matter need to be in slots 5 through 8 or they will have no effect on Vanguard.
The only thing that matters in the playlist, where all the automation/audio clips are, is horizontal arrangement.
It would be best if you just put up a screenshot. |
