Oh yes... we definitely have culinary similarities:
pierogi, golapki (cabbage rolls), barszcz (beet soup... borscht??)
I had nalesniki for dinner tonight... aka deformed delicious crepes

mmmmmmmmm ... omg I want pierogi right now... 2 summers ago in Poland, I spent 48 hours with my grandma in the kitchen learning the traditional family recipe... my future husband is gonna be one fat bastard LOL

srsly. it's harder to find chicks that can cook these days.

I am of opinion that both man and woman should know how to cook. it's basic survival skills :p (plus cooking is fun, and pleasurable)
