I for one had a GREAT time on Saturday! Got there early for Mike's set. Mike you were awesome :D By the end I was saying to Lisa, "The boy's done lost his mind! This is amazing!!"
It was slightly disappointing to find out after we got there that Jody wasn't going to be able to make it. But whatcha gonna do? The man can't control the weather. Even without him there the place was packed and the music was fantastic by all. Sleepy & Boo, a pleasure to meet you. I was the one who introduced myself you you at the beginning of the evening.
We left around 3:30. I wanted to stay until the end of course but I was trying to be responsible. Thank God I did cause when I got home the cable box said 5:30 and I only had an hour to sleep before work! whoops.
Had a wonderful time, thanks all. :) |

It's just nice for people to post that due to weather conditions a headliner will not be making it. I'm sure S&B already have their fan base and I'm sure it wouldn't stop the majority of people from going to Sully.
It just would have been nice to know EARLIER considering the crazy snow fall affected Friday night parties in Toronto as well. TA's are a small percentage of club goers but you know we are the most dedicated.

Thankfully, they will be booking him again and the weather should be better by then

What's funny to me is that everyone who is complaining didn't even make it out to the event! But the people who did show, all of them had a great time :D So I'm not sure what you guys want from us...
We were running around, had to rent a mixer that never got used, were trying to figure out other travel solutions, on the phone with agents, airlines, etc....take it or leave it, the event has passed, we're moving on.
And about taking it personally...of course I take it personal as these events are our events, and everyone who knows us knows that we put our entire personal effort into pulling these off. We're not just faceless "promoters"...and it's sad that when something does go wrong, some people's first reaction is to be negative and comment on how they were inconvenienced. Let me tell you guys that having a headliner - and a UK guest at that, who doesn't come to the states very often - not show up is a HUGE inconvenience. I'm not expecting any of you to ask us if we were OK, but it's a two-way street when things like this happen.

We don't know all of you that well but we really dig the Tranceaddict spirit and hope to get to know some of you better moving forward! | I have to agree with Sleepy & Boo on this a 100% Yea, the main attraction to going to something is the headliner. But for me it's also about hearing good music no matter who plays it, and everyone who was spinning played some awesome stuff. It's about staying out all night and dancing. It's about hanging out with, and meeting up with people you know and meeting new ones. You'll only have a bad time if you let yourself. If you sit there and complain that the headliner couldn't make it and sulk, of course you'll have a bad time. But if you look on the bright side and say hey, there are great people here, excellent music, and they're serving 2fers! How can you go wrong?! |

| Every time I've ever been there they've served me 2fers on vodka and cranberry until around 12. I think that's their standard but maybe only on well vodka drinks? Yea, Keryn just thought I was a raging alcoholic until I told her they gave me the 2nd drink for free :tongue2 |

No one is bitching and complaining about the headliner not showing up. happens! We all know that.
If you guys look at the date and time on page 5-7[ default ppp] you will see all of us (that are ready to go out to this same exact party) just found out from some random texas dude that the headliner wasn't showing up.
It just would have been *nice* if we would have known earlier. I was on my way to go (yes, even after I found out about Jody) till I made a pit stop at a fellow TA's house and ended up chilling there for a bit.
In short.. we are not complainer and we did not go because we already knew the headliner wasn't showing. |

i was gonna reply but i decided not to but basically u summed up what i was going to say..this is the last thing im gonna say..if all of you were in our shoes (me and mel) wouldnt u like to know if the main DJ wasnt gonna be there? regardless if u were going or not. |
