This book.

PWNS.

I swear I haven't read a book voluntarily in ages, and today I could not put it down. I just don't know what to say... buy it.

(Yes, I know I'm ridiculously late purchasing it.)

I like his show, but I was always wondering what this book was about.
iammesol
The book is basically a compilation of his opinions, and how he describes what life is and should be. It's filled with hilarious comments, yet proves very valid points. :D
Neon Sky
definitely picking this one up.

ive enjoyed his show but his book was nonsense.
i was hopeing we'd see a semi-serious tone, nope.
the points he makes are valid, but they drown in the overall books "comic" tone.

i read the whole thing but at the same time my mind quit less than half way thru.

That's what makes me actually read the book, which I believe was his intention. The first page even talks about how he hates reading. :p
washout
yea no doubt, it was clear at the beginning.
i bought the book hoping a bit of seriousness would be present.
SteelWolf

Hmm for some reason this reminds me of just about every forum whore/shmuck who feels his rants are important. Though this is still on my must read list;)

Why would you buy a book from Stephen Colbert's TV alter ego and expect it to be serious? Even if it was serious, why would you take advice from a comedic writer instead of someone with more experience in politics or government? Your experience was ruined because you read the book for the wrong reasons.
