its not more crimes, its longer penalties.
earlier on TV the representative from Kentucky said something like the crime is only up 3%, but the prisons are up 600% |

thats a good question... think about people who have been detained for drug possession... do they really need to be in jail?
just a question, not an opinion... but our state prisons are overflowing w/ inmates...
organized crime has now come to a point where its been found to run from prisons... |

1 out of 9 if there are between the ages of 20 to 35 or something like that (read from the NYTimes).
I wonder how many are in jail just because they smoked weed. Jail/prison for non-offensive crimes is like going on a diet when you are already too skinny. Totally pointless. And a waste of my tax dollars. I'd rather to see my money going towards setting up and maintaining a giant hooker industry. |
