REVIEW: After-hours at Dreamz Fridays (pg. 2)

| I can assure you that there are a few good spots for afterhours in this town that happen every week. I'm throwing an afterparty at Ice Gallery after I open for Seb at Wet Bar. Is this the old Dekalb/Atlanta Events Center off of Clairmont?? Good luck with everything there as I love the space but doesn't it seem a tad bit big for an afterhours considering the size of the venue as compared to how many peeps come out for the afterhours?? I would like to stop by sometime and see the place. |

Good times last night. Thanks to those who came out, it was nice to see a couple familiar faces. The afterhours scene was a little better this week as the advertising more clearly communicated that there would be house music from 2:00 on. I still have to say that it was a pretty difficult transition from ghetto hip-hop to house.
I was actually really impressed by the hip-hop DJ last night, which is rare for me. He was extremely talented and a super friendly guy. I hear this guy is apparently a big deal in that circle:

Yeah, the dance floor was pretty empty all night, even during the hip-hop set. I'm glad you had a good time. :) I'm not sure what time the place closed. I left shortly after my set ended around 4:00. I wanted to stay longer, but I had been up since 6 AM and started to crash real fast. Plus we had some friends that we had to take home. I think that place is allowed to stay open til 6:00, but they change the actual closing time based on the number of the people there. Last week for example, we started to wind down around 4:45. |

| I wonder if I talked to you, now, cause my friend dragged someone over trying to introduce them as the DJ but I was drunk as hell and didn't really understand what she was trying to say until the moment was over :p She has a thick Japanese accent. |
