More difficult than you'd think to answer. I could go to wikipedia and copy/paste if you'd like, but I wouldn't be able to explain it any better than what was initially written from them.

| my definition...a terrorist is someone who attacks non-military targets in order to spread fear through a population with the goal of affecting political change. I think people on both sides of the war can agree with this definition. |

USS Cole? I wouldn't consider that terrorism at all. It was an attack on the military force of their enemy. They meant to do damage...not to invoke fear and terror. |
