AND IT WAS....

Alot of new faces came out to the event, also some older people from my past welcoming me and stopping me as I walked around saying hello and Thanking everyone who came. Mighty was a different experience for many of us... I havent been to Mighty since the free Spundae party for with Armin some years back. The sound in that room was simply amazing for EDM. I wanted to say thank you to everyone who made this event such a success. This includes Djs John Beaver, Cyber Joe, Ismael Rodriguez, and Kevin Kind. Not to mention all the promoters who helped make this event such a success. Was really quite nice seeing everyone come together, and EVERY SINGLE DJ WE HAD LAST NIGHT TORE IT UP BEHIND THE DECKS!!!!!! A definite show of force by locals last night. and Kirk, I was not offended by your phone comment.

I had some issues tonight with my set, accidentally stopping the track that was playing... unplugging my track that was playing... I was just a little nervous. I guess its also because I wanted things to be so perfect.

Everyone who came out to Mighty had one thing in mind, and that was to party. That, and TRANCE. The vibe was similar to the old days, people talking with one another, no fights, problems... Just everyone out to have a good time. Great vibe...This being my first party and attempt at promoting an event as well as hosting, was real fun. Im looking forward to doing it again.

I learned alot tonight about what it takes to make it in this Industry. One of them is beliving in yourself and knowing that things can happen, if you really try. The other is always trying to perfect things expecially like being on time, knowing where to be at certain places... etc. To be succesful it means taking risks sometimes, and when you come out on top, its really very humbling. Props goes to Taj for giving me a chance at hosting with him, and partnering up with me for a really EDM energized NIGHT!

Also, Rizo I hope you made it home ok. You were really faded, and I got the pics to prove it. All I remember you saying outside to Lyndsay was "I wanna go with Blurr, I wanna go with Blurr"... lol.

Thank you to everyone who came out tonight. It really means alot seeing you at events, expecially when someone like myself is involved, knowing I can give a little back to the community and culture I have growned to love is everything. Its really people like you who make a difference, and in a city Dominated by house, gives Trance a shining light.

If you guys can, tap into the forums over at anjunabeats.com, and aboveandbeyond.nu, I have a post on there, as well as ill be linking photos of this amazing night there when everyone loads em up here. Super8 & Dj Tab go on there, so do many others like N20, and Daniel Kandi.

***THIS WILL NOT BE THE LAST EVENT, BUT THE FIRST OF MORE TO COME***

It was awesome and I had fun. Taj did a great job opening. Lexxx and Skwallie later fallowed with a nice prog set. Then came Blurr with a more uplifting trance set.

As for Super 8 & Tab, they were alright. I told everyone in the car on the drive up that I hope they do not play that dumb ass tiny dancer track, They ended up starting off their set with it. I felt every song they played was to long. But they didnt play a lot of vocal trance like I expected which was good. Over all I give them a 7/10.

Sucks I didnt get to check out Ish's and John Beavers set. I was too engulfed with alcohol then passed out in the car HAA HAA.

That bar tender with the skull hat was a ing punk ass mother ******. He acted like my money wasnt green.

Over all Mighty was an awesome club. Great sound and the security was cool as . Thanks again for bringing out Super 8 & Tab, Blurr and Taj.

Highlight of the night - I was passed out in the passenger seat in my car and some random chick opened the door and sat in the driver seat and looked at Russ and me and said "Wait what? This isnt my car" hahahahaa.

I thought Super8 & Tab delivered what I expected, a mix of banging and melodic TRANCE. What a great way to make a first impression on San Francisco. I thought most of the crowd was not that familiar with their music, but we had a great time. It felt like an Anjunabeats night, for sure, as they played a lot of the songs from their label. I always enjoy the more "intimate" parties at the Mighty, a refreshing change from the scene/crowd at Ruby Skye.(not looking forward to being packed like sardines on May 10th at RS) And seeing Taj, Blurr, D:Jay, C-Joe, Ish, and a bunch of TAs made it seem like an impromptu TA party at a smaller venue.

Names of the tracks which I remember:

Air For Life - Above & Beyond
Buzz - Tranquility Base
Megashira - Marc Marberg with Kyau & Albert
Needs to Feel - Super8 & Tab
Worldwide - Mark Pledger vs Super8 & Tab
Suru - Super8 & Tab
Get Off - Super8
Thrill - Ernesto & Bastian
Numb (Heatbeat Bootleg) - Linkin Park

I'm glad to see you're ok.

I'll post my review later. Still tired from last night and need some energy for tonight. All in all a great night!

one word to describe the night was "EPIC" and "PHENOMINAL." okay maybe two words... but Super8 and Tab's set was one of the best I have witnessed in A LONG TIME. It gave a true meaning to the Anjunabeats label and I was excited to hear floor smashers all night long. I give madd respect to these guys for doing an amazing job at their first bay area appearance and congrats to all the local deejays for setting it off. Night was insane!
Now let's get a tracklist going. Besides the known Anjunabeats classics, I recognized some sweet older songs I can't remember and some new ones.
Way to end with Worldwide.

I love Mighty!!! it is such a great venue :eyespop: As for the music it was off the hook:crazy: I dont really remember a lot of the tracks that were played. I was so fucT up:haha: The track that stood out for me was Smith & Pledger - WHITE!!!! i love that song soooo much :whip:

All the locals played awesome sets and the place had a better vibe than 1015. Everyone was there for the music and you didnt have your washer kids and gangstas in the back :happy2:

Thank you to Taj and Blurr for throwing, hands down one of the best parties i have ever been too:gsmile: I hope you guys keep on keepin on and bring more of the same talent!

Gilbert! you were sooo faded bro. This was worse than Marco V and of course it was Skwallie and I that helped you outside again. I think Skwaliie and I should be EMT's!!! :haha: Ill take the role of the drunk EMT! YEEEEEEEEEE! I think Gilbert will rethink eating Garlic fries before taking shots. HAHAHA Its funny because when i was trying to hold Gilbert up from falling over i had to try and keep myself up and dodge the up-chuckings. The sound guy looked at Gilbert and said i need him out of here "he is a liability" That made me laugh. That guy obviously hasnt seen Gilbert drunk before :haha:

After, going to insomnia was fun. The twins have new found respect for me because i made it to insomnia. Big thanks to 2 tall for the extra alcohol in the car. :eyes: Taj, from what i remember you played a great set at insomnia. Blurr thank you for the slice of pizza and direct thank you for the ride bro.

Im not sure if i can make it to 1015 tonight. My hangover is kicking my ass right now. so if i dont go tonight i hope everyone has fun and dont drink too much :haha:

That's because you pounded a whole bottle of jager on the street with 2tall.

It was funny as hell as I was driving away in Lyndsay's car while 2tall held his camera in one and his flash in the other, while he ran along side the car snapping shots of gilbert passed out in the car. :haha:
