About Christopher Norman
At only 20 years old, Michigan native Christopher Norman (better known as Retrobyte) and his productions are already causing commotion world-wide in the dance music industry.
Not one to be bound by genres, Christopher’ sound ranges from smooth progressive grooves, to bouncy and banging house with an electro flair. After a couple of releases on various independent digital labels, his breakout hit "Going Down" found a home on Gabriel & Dresden’s own Organized Nature label, earning him fans the world-over, and solidifying his place as a part of the upcoming generation of ground-breaking house and progressive producers.
After mentors Josh Gabriel & Dave Dresden took note of his keen ear for dance floor destruction, Christopher remixed their Billboard 1 hit "Tracking Treasure Down," and it was subsequently played on their 2006 Essential Mix with Pete Tong. His hard work during his studio sessions continued to pay off, especially after his remix of Cerf, Mitiska, & Jaren’s track "Light The Skies" was released on Baroque Recordings and Armada imprint Armind, receving almost universal acclaim and play from the world’s top DJs. Christopher’s original productions and remixes have garnered support from the world’s top echelon of DJs, including Armin Van Buuren, Tiësto, Ben Liebrand, Paul Van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Sander Kleinenberg, Matt Darey, Above & Beyond, Andy Moor, Noel Sanger, and Steve May.
Christopher is also becoming increasingly known for his innovative DJ sets, having played all around the states and Canada. His raw passion for music reveals itself in the way he performs, and the sound of his sets could be described the same way as his productions: eclectic yet consistent. When he spins, Christopher usually focuses on funky techno grooves and the progressive side of electro house.
With a deep passion for what he does, in the end Christopher’s primary goal is to continue to make the music that he loves, and with his talent in tow he’s bound to appeal to listeners and clubbers alike by doing just that. Christopher is currently working on his debut artist album to be released on Organized Nature in 2008, and is also working on material with such artists as Meredith Call, Shawn Mitiska, Topher Jones, Bassbin Twins, Anthony Attalla, and Ben Brown.

i'm all about supporting the young bucks such as yourself to give you an opportunity to make a statement in this scene. Get to work! My only thing is that it has to sound current and quality... if your first couple of takes don't fit the bill we will work with you... just ask Nick Stoynoff :) |

Saw Speedy J a while back at Smartbar and they have the new bass boxes(twice as big as the old ones). The system sounded superb. I would have to say it's finally tuned. |
