Did anyone else recall Moby playing R.I.O. - R.I.O. [S&H Project Remix] two times??

I remember before his set at Kool Haus last year he said on his blog that he hoped that they'd have vinyl records players because he doesn't really know how to DJ digitally with CD-R's. They did and his set rocked!

Looks like from the pics that he was forced to DJ digitally at TiL. Probably why he couldn't mix as good as he could.

Let's see what the set-up is like in Montreal tonite for him and what his set's going to be like.

he also said that he was going to try using CDs.....I wish I was able to go but from the sounds of it.....Moby in KH > Moby at TiL...either way...see one of the true legends spin live is always worth it.

I bet that track is something he put together himself and unreleased (perhaps something he even did in the 7 hours @ la guardia) - the vocal is a well known one, deko-ze would probably know where it's from.

I like Moby. He takes the time to speak intelligently on things other than music.

As I mentioned earlier (ahem ;) ), that song is called "Thousand" and he released it about 15 yrs ago, and can be found on his "Rare: The Collected B-Sides 1989-1993" album release.

The guy is not a DJ, which means he is just doing it for fun. I'm sure most of his sets are pretty short.

Moby DJ'd way before he got big and started doing the live shows... used to DJ raves all the time back in the day... played several in Toronto even.

Exactly

He was DJing before many people on TA were even born.

I had fun, nice club, nice looking people. Guest list thing (through the TIL website) was a crock.

Moby was ok. Porcelain and Born Slippy were good enough for me. Got way too cheesy at one point. Nice guy to mingle with the crowd after his set.

Some friends actually saw him at Sneaky Dee's with a lady friend before he made his way to the club. How funny is that?

Crowd pushing was ghey, real ghey.

That last track gives me a headache.

The guy before Moby was good. One of the guys after was not so good. I distinctly recall some major wreckage at one point.

Anyways, as stated I had fun. A lot of that had to do with the company I was there with. Moby for $20, can't really complain.
