The guy before Moby was good. One of the guys after was not so good. I distinctly recall some major wreckage at one point.
|
it was manzone & strong that played before and after moby. way at the end (like the last 15 minutes or so) before the club closed it was jimmy lightning. |

Exactly
He was DJing before many people on TA were even born. |
Moby was the 1st big name DJ I ever met (1992 or 1993). I bowed down to him repeatedly. lol. |

There are very few DJs that I would consider legends and he is one of them.....I am not even a huge fan of what he spins but I have a lot of respect for him. |

Moby DJ'd way before he got big and started doing the live shows... used to DJ raves all the time back in the day... played several in Toronto even. |
Had no idea. Just thought he always did it for fun, but not seriously. |

Agreed about the unfavorable conditions downstairs (packed and pushy)
I was upstairs for a lot of the night |

I guess consider yourself lucky to have seen him?
The next day in Montreal he got to the venue only at 3AM because of the bad weather and played for maybe a little over an hour before the police shut down the venue....... (he was supposed to play at 1AM and the club closes at 3AM).
Props for making it but seriously? I think they shouldve cancelled the Montreal show. |

I think his recent resurgence into DJing is because he just missed doing it and is doing it for Fun now. I'm sure the money is much better now then it was in his hay day |

I had a amazing night, first time at TiL too, what a beautiful club.
Nothing to complain about, well maybe other than getting out of the club at 4:30 and finding out my car was towed from Queen St.

Definitely an awesome night, and glad that everyone seemed to be really enjoying themselves.
Thank you to everyone who has the nice things to say about the club, and hopefully this means you'll be coming back and rocking out at TIL sometime soon, as we've got some really killer events coming up in the next few months, so keep checking back for more info! :)
I had a blast, and the crowd was fantastic.... a great mix of old and new, and a lot of people who wouldn't have normally come out on a cold chilly and snowy night.
Once again, thank you to everyone for coming out, and hope to see you all very soon!

PS: Manzone and Strong were also definitely super awesome on Friday night... killer job! (And Jimmy... wtf? but wicked for jumping on the decks at the end lol) |

+1
Great first impression. Gorgeous crowd and great decor. Loved the girl that was reading a book in a glass box in vip.
