Tried and true. If that doesn't work, try duct tape, or just get some blaze orange seat covers (doubly good as they will help you from being shot by mistake).

Get a non permanent marker and go over the top of it.

My little sister rode in the back of my VW this past weekend, on the way to the aquarium. she got a hold of a magic (permanent) black marker and drew a couple of smiley faces and tried to spell out my name before i looked up in the rearview and caught her.
now i didn't get mad, she's only 7 and didn't know the backseat of a VW is not a whiteboard. but seeing how i was visibly upset by her actions she apologized, and she's an angel so of course i dismissed it quickly and told her to ask before she does something like that next time.

to cut a story short: how the hell does one get permanent marker out of leather? i don't want to use something at home and make it set in more, or smear it all over the place. i need effective and proven methods please.

thanks!
