Dear Wantickets Customer,

Important. This is your final warning. To pick up your tickets for WMC, it’s critical that you come to the Wantickets store. This is your last chance to switch your order from will call to store pickup. To do so, please respond to this email.

To repeat: we HIGHLY recommend you switch your order for pickup at the Wantickets store, not the venue. You will enter the show must faster if you pick up your ticket ahead of time.

The details:

When: Tuesday, March 25th-Saturday, March 29th from 12pm-8pm

Where: The Shelborne Hotel at 1801 Collins Ave. There will be a separate entrance for the store. You’ll see signs.

See you at the Wantickets store!

why? will call has never failed. i know how goes during conference, i can see it happening now that i go out of my way to go to the store and then that is closed early or the people are out to lunch or whatever. i dont trust that crap. so ill repeat, will call at the event has never failed.

i've been at the front of Cameo for FMIF and Subliminal the past couple of years.....when there are 300 people all pushing and shoving, i've gotten in very quick when waiving my hands that i have presale tickets - quicker than those people waiving wanticket receipts.

at Space, you will save a couple of minutes by not having to wait in the ticket pickup line.

i didn't mean there is an issue with willcall...just that having tickets in hand will save you time at any venue getting in. Cameo is the worst in this aspect. some other places it will probably make minimal difference. if you can't pick up the tickets ahead of time you can't....but IMO this is a good way to get in slightly quicker.

also, if you decide not to go to a party for some reason, you can sell the hard ticket.

thats about the only benefit imho.

Its not that I don't trust willcall, I just Don't trust the venues. Having my ticket in hand when I get there avoids me having to wait in a line for my ticket or having to bring a receipt or my credit card. I can sell my ticket(which i did last year to two events cuz the lines were so long) and at one event I walked right in cuz I had my ticket.

see... i dont trust the wanttickets store. god knows how they are really going to operate that . venue will call has never been a problem for me at any venue in miami. space, mansion, studio a, the fifth, etc. thats why i picked the option im more comfortable with. lets just hope no one has any problems either at the store or at willcall.
DiegoParra32
yeah hopefully everything goes smoothly. I think we are just a bit pessimistic or worry too much. :tongue3

I have a hard ticket for Thursday @ space and will call for my other events (Sci-Tek, Sander @ the Fifth).

Still, even with all the debate of will call v. hard tickets, the best way to ensure a speedy entry is to arrive at the venue early. Lines are minimal and, generally, people who arrive early either already have their tickets or have will call, which means, obviously, less people but also less hassle in terms of staff having to sort out people who do have tickets versus those who don't. Just my .02 :D

I tend to see more problems with the people at the venue handling the lists than I would expect to see picking up hard tix ahead of time. But this is the 1st time they have done it so we shall all see how well it works.

i've never had an problem too with will call except at Opium Garden a couple of years back...even with a presale they didn't want to honor it - they were trying the whole pick n choose thing. this was back before people used presales as much as they do now.
