This is completely different to anything I usually listen to.
Its a very good set. Theres a lot of vocal work in there but none of it is cheesy at all. Overall, great stuff :D |

Holy bloody hell, I listened to this for the first time on my way to and from work today and it absolutely made my day. I only downloaded it for the praise it received, since I wasn't familiar with any of the tracks included in the mix (other than the original of Blue Skies). But I loved the whole thing, top to bottom.
I'm not much of one to expend any effort delineating genres or whatever, and I have no real conception of what "epic house" really means, but I know now that I really like it. A lot. Every track worked for me, which is rare in any set, and especially rare for me in a set where I don't know what to expect. I'm a young'un, so I wasn't at all familiar with the EDM scene in the 90's, but this set makes me realize just how much I missed out. Do they still makes tracks like these? That second Blue Skies mix was truly epic, and nearly had me dancing my ass off on the public bus on my way home from a long day at work.
I normally like my music funky, but this showed me that house doesn't have to groove in order to be enjoyable. I'm definitely going to be checking out your other mixes as well. Cheers to you for bringing a whole world of new music to me in one flawless, immensely enjoyable set. |

| And cheers to you for the praise! These sets have been very satisfying not so much for just reminding some people of their earlier days (although that was very sarisfying in of itself) but for introducing people to this style for the first time. It gives me a warm glow inside to be able to do that. |

I'm throwing it on again while one of your other sets downloads. I'll echo what RJT said earlier in this thread: that stretch from Bedrock to the end is absolutely stellar - you can really feel the amount of pride you put into the work, and it pays off in a big way. The set is so much better for the fact that you really want to showcase the music and not the set as the centerpiece. |

| Good stuff! I love Set in Stone. Haven't heard it since Oakey's GU Oslo mix. I remember most of these tracks. I still have Be As one on vinyl. I WISH I had set in stone. I should track a copy of that down. I'd have to say set in stone and four seasons were the the highlights for me. I wasn't into the vocally stuff even back then but this is a great mix. I don't know if I ever heard the term epic house back then. Usually just vocal or melodic trance hehe. But great mix. Takes me back. I actually listened a few weeks ago and it's inspired me to put together a mix of some of my own old goodies. Thanks a lot. When's your next mix comin? :D |

| I do have a mix planned, but it's something altogether different to the other mixes I've put up thus far. |

Sweet!
I'm tempted to ask, but I think the mystery of it will be more fun.
Any ETA? |

| Some really sweet in tracks in here, not a fan of every track, but some are great. Almost all mixes sound very neat. Very nice job, you did achieeve your goal: telling a musical story. keep it up:) |
