I like this a lot; but I like the Tudors better... less political talk and more steamy drama!
I think in comparison though; colonial Americans were probably rather bland compared to those living in Tudor England. |

Yeah Tudors is great too... Although I think the only reason it's good is the uber-exaggeration haha... None of them looked like THAT in real life :p But yeah, John Adams is kicking ass. |

| Glad to hear people seem to be liking it, I've always been a Paul Giamotti fan. I don't have HBO unfortunately, so I'll check it out at some point soon. |

It's a pretty good representation... except for George Washington's character.
From what I understand, most movies astronomically distort the portrayal of Washington. Most scholars regard him as a typical arrogant, rude Englishman, bent for power and war. I wish there was a film that finally let people know he was not this amazing saint-like founding father, but more like the Uncle you have to like even though he is a neocon.

englishman? washington was born in virginia. bent for power? he twice walked away from positions of full authority. arrogant? he declined a salary and routinely listened to the opinions of others. |

Yeah, Paul Giamatti's a great actor, I like him a lot to... I think he's totally underrated, and he's showing it with his performance as John Adams :) |
