I can understand how most of you older club cats are making fun of this but you have consider this. We aren't just some newbie raver kids throwing a party. We go to the same clubs and shows you guys go to as well. This is not at a warehouse, its at a legal concert venue. The lineup is ing sick (comparatively to other similar events) and not that indicative of a Chicago warehouse party. Its like a club lineup but this my friends, is not a club... its a party. And we want you to come and party with us because we will be throwing down.

Or just sit here and make fun of it, either way you're keeping my thread at the top of the page ;)

good job rick, keep it up :)

Very mature responses from many of you. The guy busts his ass to put a party together... in hopes of training younger generations to want to go out and get more knowledgeable about music... so that one day, when they're as elite as the rest of you, they'll attend your "dynamic" party at the club or potentially hole venue that's available to you. I used to think the club scene was incestuous, but now I see that most of you just like to yourselves.

Regardless of how popular/unpopular a genre of music may be, a budding scene can always be sustained if the parties are enjoyable to those that attend.

I stopped promoting to focus on other things but I'll be glad to do more breaks and other types of shows in '09 when my schedule calms a bit more.

It's funny you guys make fun of the 4/20 gimmick...which either leads me to believe that A) You haven't been in the underground scene for long and just magically arrived to the level of snobbery that you're at B) You just like being a dick at other people's expense C) You're in denial about your past party history D) All of the above.
