Revolutionizing Sound -- Amazing new Invention!

i would have normally just put this in the Producers Forum but i think everyone can relate to this. In a nutshell:
I read an article last night about a new technology called HSS (hypersonic sound) that is being used for advertising. A&E is using it to promote a new TV show. People walking down the street in NY will suddenly hear what sounds like a voice inside their head - but only while they are standing in a particular spot - and no one around them hears it. They are comparing it to what the laser did to light, ultra concentration in a small area.
one of the best & coolest articles i've read in years:

| modulating an ultrasonic soundwave (or a ultrasonic signal modulating a normal sound wave, i forget) has the effect of focusing the sound like a flashlight. |
