There were several sets that were fantastic. I'll start with the Main Stage. Ferry and Armin both had great trance sets as usual, don't expect anything less from those guys and you can tell they always have a good time. Eric Prydz had a fabulous set and had the crowd loving him even though he train wrecked but I think that was due to the smoke covering the entire stage, not sure how he could see anything. His remake of Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus and whatever remix of Sweet Dreams he had were choice. He also played Proper Education which obviously everyone knew that weren't necessarily Prydz fans. I believe he ended the set with his new chart topper Pjanoo which is a great track. I really was hoping for Call On Me and his remix of Paolo Mojo - 1983 but perhaps another time as he is becoming ultra popular with his production abilities. His DJing abilities did not let down either.

Moving on to the Breaks stage. Stanton Warriors threw down a killer set which was followed by kings of breaks themselves - Hybrid. They had the crowd going nuts while they played some classics and did at least 30 mins of breaks. Hearing them play their remix of BT - Never Gonna Come Back Down and some other personal favs of theirs was awesome. I'm sure the entire set was breaks as they were at the breaks tent. I'm happy about that though as the last time I saw them they did a mostly Prog/Electro house set which seems to be their gig lately. Sadly, had to leave them halfway through the set to catch the beginning of Underworld.

At the Bayfront/The Rabbit Hole Stage, BT's live performance was amazing as he kept switching between guitar, piano, singing and djing on top of whatever happened after I had to move to another stage. The guy is amazing...probably the greatest musician in recent history. If you have seen him perform This Binary Universe live on top of all of his other accolades you will see where I'm coming from with that statement. I've seen him play no less than 8 instruments, sing, and DJ during the times I've seen him perform live. Oh and he is creating his own producing software, seriously the guy is beyond a genius. Watch some of the DIVX interviews he did and you will see. Best part is he is completely down to earth, I met him after his TBU performance and he was really cool to talk to. Sasha & Digweed as usual had a great set though I was surprised no Ableton was in place, they used CDs only. Sasha did his normal toying with the crowd which is always fun. Crystal Method were obviously having great fun DJing this event and the crowd loved them, they had a great set...I was happy to hear a rework of Busy Child. Pete Tong also had the crowd going though my personal favorite part was him introducing Sasha and Digweed. I've been waiting for him to intro someone live after listening to all the Essential Mixes since 1999 or so. Rabbit In The Moon like always put on a great show. They had a different intro than the other times I've seen them which was cool. It's such a unique show that I recommend it to people that aren't even into EDM. Out Of Body Experience is obviously always the crowd favorite. The whole show is quite an experience.

The Carl Cox tent was great as usual with CC going at it and the crowd loving it. David Guetta as usual had the crowd in his hands. And Moby had an awesome set as well. They all had the Carl Cox tent absolutely packed the entire time. I must say I was pretty shocked at how active Moby he was, jumping off the table kicking his feet up, dancing around rapidly to the music. He and Underworld were the last people I had yet to see live over the years.

That being said, the performance of the night goes back to the Main Stage with some of the kings of EDM - Underworld who Pete Tong also introduced since he did the changeover. What an amazing performance though. They played all the classics and the mass of people was nuts. Karl was dancing all over the place and his singing was absolutely brilliant. I must say it is some of the best singing I've ever heard live. I mean it's not often that someone sounds better live than they do on CD, especially in the EDM world. It's sad they only made 2 US stops on tour this year b/c I would definitely fly anywhere in the country to see them again. Though they are going to be at Creamfields this year for its 10th anniversary so it's probably worth the trip across the pond. I can't say enough about how good their performance was. They don't top Daft Punk for best live show I've ever seen but Daft Punk's is out of this world and I don't honestly think I'll ever see anything better.

Sadly there were too many great gigs going on at once both Fri and Sat evening so the only sets I got to see in their entirety were Eric Prydz & Underworld. I didn't get to see some that I would have liked to see. Including PVD or Jackal & Hyde (the last 2 sets at their respective stages). Obviously PVD always has a great set being one of the kings of Trance so I'm sure his was great. Miami for whatever reason is nuts about Tiesto but every time PVD is there thousands upon thousands are in unison with him so maybe he will take over Tiesto in Miami soon (he should as he is the better producer and DJ). The Tiesto shirts around the grounds are always in ridiculous amounts whereas I think only myself and 1 other guy had on a Vandit shirt, with 1 other guy sporting a Paul Van Dyk shirt. And for Jackal & Hyde they always seem to be crowd favorites with the intensity of their electro bass. The crowd energy at their performances always amazes me. I might have missed someone amidst that synopsis but it was definitely the best Ultra I have been to which includes 6-10.

That being said, I'm hoping all the above performances I listed above show up b/c for those that didn't get to go you won't be let down by them. I recorded about 10 mins + video from the Underworld set as well as some from the Hybrid, Moby and Sasha/Diggweed sets. Once I get them hosted I'll post. It's about 3 gigs of vid/pics.

Alright, that was a nice review of the event Dephora. Very well said.
Even though I could only tune to webcasts, it sounded awesome.
