On your resume

Do you list your personality traits? hobbies etc?

I can't figure out what the point of doing that is. It drives me crazy. I can't imagine an employer thinking "well this guy is qualified, but he likes to play video games. must be a slacker". Or the other way "Well, he doesn't have any experience flying a plane, but he goes to church, so god will guide him.

and it's not like any of you put your real hobbies down when you do choose to tell them *more* about yourself, because most of us like to get drunk and watch porn.

if it's job-related, it's a skill--not a hobby.

if it's not, they won't care.

Well some employers ask what your interest and hobbies are during the process of your interview, and the less they have to ask after they see your resume- the better. So it depends on who you're sending it out to.

I disagree - the resume is to hook them - the interview is where they get to know you. I wouldn't put anything not related to the job/leadership/career development on my resume.

I agree, but what I've been through and when I used to hire people..both apply.
