| Was impressed with Richie Hawtin, other than that Tiesto was okay..nice to hear Utah Saints - Lost Vagueness. Tonight it's all about Moby/Sasha & Digweed/Underworld/Carl Cox.....and avoiding pvd's 'LIVE' set:rolleyes: |

| Zabiela was BY FAR the best show of the night on Friday at Ultra. NOBODY came close to slamming a tent the way he did. Came on at 7 so it was still light out and completely distanced himself from the remedial crap that played before him. His set continued as the sun dropped so for his last couple tracks he was the first DJ of the night to start workin all the strobes and lighting effects, scratching all over his efx machine, tearing the place a new . Towards the end of his set he held his laptop in the air and flipped it around so everyone could read it, in 72 size font he wrote "Thank You :)" He's so humble and so into his music it makes the show. Love it everytime, haven't missed him in Miami in over 2 years. If you haven't been, what are you waiting for!!!?? |

JXL sounded good. The new stuff sounds pretty commercial but banging. He had lots of fun, like he always does.
Have to agree with Zabiela. Holy freaking cow. I missed him the last few years and I will never miss one again. |

| The funny thing? Just about all the gear and monitors were breaking during James' set. He said it was the set with the most technical breakdowns he has ever played in his entire career. The stage manager who doesn't work with DJs (more the rock type) was pretty much freaking out. James played it cool and did the whole set as if nothing happened. The stage manager was completely freaked out over James' skills with all the mess ups, he said he had never seen anything like it before. |
