With the eastern Conference almost wrapped up, and the door locked in the West, it's time for the most exciting time of the year for sports...the chase for the Stanley Cup
I still can't belive my Sens almost missed the playoff after a 15-2 start at the beging of the season :( ah well..atleast they're not watching from the outside Toronto styles. It would have been more nice if they met Montreal in the second round instead of the first.
Who's your picks?
...more later. breakfast time for now.

Laugher, Ovechkin will eat them alive.
Tim Thomas is a sive.
Washington wins 4-1
(4)NY Rangers vs (5)New Jersey
Broduer>Lunqvist
rest of NJ team
NY Rangers win 4-3
Western Conference
(1)Detroit vs (8)Nashville
I think Nashville will put up a fight but will fall short.
Detroit wins 4-3
(2)San Jose vs (7)Colorado
San Jose and Roenick show Colorado how to play hockey
Colorado needs better goal tending
San Jose sweeps 4-0
(3)Minnesota vs (6)Calgary
Calgary has Minnesota's number this year 6-2
The Kipper will come through
Calgary wins 4-3
(4)Anahiem vs (5)Dallas

Round two:
Eastern Conference
(1)Pittsburgh vs (4)NY Rangers
Pittsburgh Healthy will take this one but it will be one hell of a series.
Pittsburgh wins 4-3
(2)Montreal vs (3)Washington
Semin, Backstrom and Ovechkin show the young talent but not the lack of playoff experience.
Washington wins 4-2
Western Conference
(1)Detrioit vs (6)Calgary
Ok end of the line for Calgary, Detroit is too strong on the blueline
Calgary has scoring problems
Detroit wins 4-2
(2)San Jose vs (4)Anahiem
Anahiem's experience gets them through to the next round
gonna be a great series
Anahiem wins 4-2
Round Three
Eastern Conference
(1)Pittsburgh vs (3)Washington
Pittsburgh's young talent>Washingtons young talent
Pittsburgh wins 4-2
Western Conference
(1)Detroit vs (4) Anahiem
Dont think Anahiem has enough fire power to win
Detroit wins 4-3
THE STANLEY CUP FINALS
(1)Detroit vs (1)Pittsburgh
Detroit takes advantage of Fluery who will be good enough to get them to the finals but chokes like he did in the Gold Medal game.
Detroit wins 4-1
DETROIT WINS THE STANLEY CUP
At least thats what I see happening. |

MB over HL? hilarious. Brodeur just got booted from the game vs. Philly because of his goaltending, the Rangers are 7-0 vs devils (so far..one game left tomorrow) and Lundqvist is on fire. HL has owned MB this season. MB doing well against other teams doesnt mean that he is playing better than HL right now in any sense of the word. PLUS HL owns in shootouts!!
Unless there is a complete reversal in roles (which is possible....people can collapse in the playoffs...espcially the rangers... ) I doubt that this is an accurate assessment. |

There is no way in hell philly is going to win. (watch me be wrong and you can quote me in a few weeks LOL)
I am going with the Pens (for the money) and rangers (for my heart....not going to happen but one can hope). |

while i agree that most of his assessments were laughable at best, the playoffs are a new season and everything that happened before is not worth 2 s.
Brodeur = Stanley Cup Champ/iron clad hall of famer/ could even arguably be the best goalie of all time in many eyes.
Lundqvist = never done anything in the playoffs....
advantage Brodeur.
Saying Anaheim can't beat Detroit is epic lulz. Picking Philly to go to the finals is even funnier as they won't make it out of the first round. Can't blame Torontonions for not knowing anhything about hockey. Lets party like it was 1967.:p |
