i didn't shower for almost 6 days when my hot water heater was broken and i was deathly ill w/ the mono. the first hot shower i sat there in my tub for almost an hour

LOL.

I wasn't talking about the feeling of cleanness. I get that every day. :p

i know what you mean tho - everytime i move somewhere new its like a "clean slate" or whatever. i really like changing places , and change in general....after awhile things start to get stale and its like "ok, i need something new now".

that's usually when i put on a new pair of socks and i'm like, ok its all better now:haha:

when i lived in the dorms, i would rearrange my furniture (what little i had, lol) about every 4 months. definitely gave at least some new perspective on a 12x12 foot room. lol

It seems to me that as I get older I experience this sensation a lot less: a feeling of "freshness," a feeling that there are lots of opportunities waiting to be grabbed, lots of novel and interesting experiences that I'm going to have.

I felt it when I moved to a different city when I was little. And when I moved from elementary to middle school / middle to high / high school to college. Haven't really felt it since.

Anyone else know what I'm talking about? Do you ever feel like your possibilities of genuinely new, exciting experiences are narrowing? Like you're eventually either going to slip into a perpetual routine or try to have "new" experiences when they're really just slight variants of ones that you've already had?

I dunno, maybe I'm just a boring loser like Jennypie says. :gsmile:

I can't afford exciting interesting experiences. If I could, I'd be on a plane to Barcelona to watch JmJ perform Oxygene 30th year aniversary concert. I can then die happy.

Alas. I can't. I'm also emo. that's why there's beer. Hooorraaay beer!

I've been thinking of breaking out some liquor tonight myself.

Probably shouldn't since I have lots to do tomorrow.

Sometimes when I'm on vacation or on long weekends, I deliberately not shower just so I can get that feeling.
