Trance Music-- Men or women?

This question has been kinda bothering me a bit: Is trance music more popular among men or women?

I am referring more to the melodic/uplifting forms of it--the underground versions of trance.

The melodic / uplifting forms of trance are by far the least underground forms of trance that there are...

i'd say split around 75:25 male:female

males tend to outnumber females in edm as a whole anyway, particularly in forms that aren't that readily available in the commercial market (ie. stuff that generally entails rooting around on the internet to find what you like, which has traditionally always been more of a guy thing)

i guess a small part of it comes down to men & women naturally having different ideals when it comes to music, but accessibility is the main factor
