stop driving if prices are too high. noone needs to drive. you drive because you chose to live somewhere where cars are necessary. if more rural/suburban americans demanded denser communities, it would certainly happen. stop complaining and do something about it.
personally, i'm happy about the rise in gas prices. hopefully it will cause a noticeable lasting change in american bahaviors so that we rely less on imported oil and change the way we develop communities (which are absolutely horrendous - suburban ).

stfu. Your gas prices are the same as everywhere. You just bitch and complain because of the exchange rate.
USD is worth _NOTHING_.
first of all, i wasnt "bitching"
secondly, allow me to join jdat and say stfu you ignorant f*ck.
1 US gallon = 3.78 litres
cost....
around $3.20 per gallon
it costs the UK around £1.05 per litre, so thats £3.97 per gallon (around $8 at current exchange rate)
so even if you use the rate when the dollar stood good against the pound, its still nearly twice the ing price, so next time do some research before you whine

Gas is way too cheap imo.

i fully agree....although i would condition that statement on the additional revenue going to government (mainly to fund university research in mechanical/electrical/nuclear engineering), not oil companies or the middle east. in other words, higher oil taxes should cause the higher cost, which would hopefully be used to develop alternative energy sources and research into more efficient energy production.

I wish we could manage without cars all together.
I seldom use a car ... perhaps once a week at the most if even that.
Main mode of transportation is my bicycle and I love it. It's actually quicker than by car going around with it.
But I don't live in a big yank city with all the distances from point A to point B that it entails.
I'd use trains instead of cars to go out of town but the trains are generally too expensive and not too keen on the fact that there's no circulation between 1 am and 5 am.

I'm not sure about your price there...are u accounting for the current lowering of value the American dollar has succumbed to??
Im not sure if that was stab at how weak our dollar is or if you have a better idea how much current market rate of bull semen is.
