Thomas Gainsborough, John Collier & John Constable, probably not that exciting but I admire them for the beauty they capture.

What if I ask you what your favourite school/style is?

I don't prescribe to the art historian way of looking at art, that is stylistically. i like ideas

that being said, i like the ideas of the futurists, particularly giacomo balla. his early work was amazing, but i don't even know if you can find it online. I saw a lot of it in MAXXI in rome. (museum of 20th century art)

i mean Giotto's arena chapel fresco has to be way up there on my list:

it's just incredible. you need to see it in person.

Been liking Edward Hopper's stuff lately. Also been trying to learn more about contemporary artists, my girlfriend's a painter and while I know the classics well, I'm woefully unschooled on current stuff.

I'm quite fond of Banksy's graffiti art. It's a perfect satire against political art.

_Ocean_Drive_
David LaChapelle - Death By Hamburger

Warhol - 210 Cola-bottles

I think this Hopper painting is 'timeless'

Edward Hopper <3

I love the stillness of life he captures.

Along the same lines there's also Hammershøi. Painting with muted tones, making the strong points in his work what is usually not so evident in life.

Frank Stella is sick, our lobby is covered with his work
