I have a hard time believing that you can find a good place to live at that price, however I don't live down in SoCal, so I could be wrong. A lot of the Southern California area is definitely quite expensive to live in, much like the SF Bay Area.
I'd definitely go visit both northern and southern california before you make your decision though, because I know I'd not want to live anywhere in the LA area, but that's just a personal preference of mine. Many people who love southern california feel the same way about the bay area. |

i went to a city college for the first year i moved out here in order to get residency (school tuition was about 12-15 more for an out of stater than a resident). SDSU had a dorm you could live in (called University Towers) that allows you to go to one of the Community Colleges yet still live in the dorm. After 1 year, i got good grades and transfered to SDSU.
Seriously if you can live in a dorm do it, once in a lifetime opportunity to meet some very close friends for life.
if you don't want to do that, San Diego City College is downtown and downtown is just a fun place to live :) |
