A Slices - Lars Behrenroth Remix
B1 Slices - Ripperton's Riding High Remix
B2 Slices - Boris Hotton Remix
Really liking the deepness of the Boris Hotton mix, great track to open a set with. The Lars Behrenroth mix isn't too bad either, nice hand claps thrown in and a bit of a nostalgic feel. The Ripperton mix is extremely stripped down, I can see it doing well in a demo but it doesn't really have enough oomph to play out.
Samples at Beatport and/or Juno :) |

| I'll check this out when I get home. One of my friends is actually bringing Lars on May 1st. |

It's the mark of a general trend I and others have been noticing. Miami was awash in it. |

I really want to hear the Ripperton mix out in full. Based on the Beatport sample, it gets a bit interesting towards the end of the sample, but ends. The first part of the sample is a bit dull.
Lars Behrenroth is good but I'm not in love with it, and I didn't care for the Boris Hotton mix. |

Some interesting bastardization of old Chicago house and Detroit techno has almost overwhelmed my case lately.
I like it. I like it a lot. |

+1
Everyone I talked to was saying it in Miami...they're going back to the roots while implementing what they learned from minimal tech and all the trends/styles of the past few years. I think 08 is gonna be an interesting year as a lot of people are really sick of the stereotypical plink plonk "minimal" and are looking to do something fresh. |
