Just over $51,000 if its 37.5 hours per week. $55,000 if its 40 hours per week.

That's pretty damn good if you ask me to drive a bus around.

Those people get enough Govt benefits and paid holidays.......They should be just told to simply " off " when they ask for anything.

and since they are part of a union, you can bet those benefits and overtime are pretty damn decent!

Some people don't appreciate what they've got until it's gone, I'm pretty sure that eventually TTC will go the contract way vs employment, just like Canada Post is doing so these days.

buses are actually one the hardest jobs to do. i'm not saying that they don't get paid enough, but it certainly is not an easy job. however, booth collectors and all that other is overpaid. subway driver i'm kinda iffy about. it's easier than driving a bus, but theres still a certain level of work to be done.

I have no problem with what experienced/skilled drivers are paid. They keep passengers safe and do their job diligently.

I have a problem with the fishbowl sitters, token/pass watchers, streetcar-stop wranglers and street supervisors who do little (nothing?) to add to the value chain.

it was already allocated for the station revitalization program. that money would not have gone to pay for anyones salary on the ttc.

If they strike, I'm so going down to Davisville with a megaphone and super-soaker.

True. I guess it does require some level of experience to drive a bus.

But I agree with the token collectors and the others. They just sit around on their ass and do all for most of the day.

I'm not sure exactly what the subway drivers actually do, but I know a lot of them do all as well. I was on the subway the other day and the dude was sitting in his booth play with his PSP the entire time. He looked out the booth every once in a while, but not much more than that!
