Great tribute mixes to classic Perfecto/Hooj/Jackpot

I've recently come across the website Downgrooves.com, official site of a couple of Texan DJs most of you probably won't have heard of (I hadn't). They mix some crappy fluff trance, but I'm drawing them to your attention because they have some great tribute mixes to clasic labels:

The tribute to Jackpot is immense- I thoroughly recommend you check out a great showcase of probably my all-time favourite label. However, there's also tributes to mid-90s Perfecto and no less than three for Hooj Choons. They also have a couple of classics mixes that look very solid.

So if you like your 90s progressive house/trance, have a look-see. Cue the "Why don't they make it like this anymore?" comments.

Looks great. Thanks a lot for the heads up.

Every track on "The best of Hooj tunes from 90 to 94" is from 1996 or later. Hmmm...

Hmmm,

It actually sucked quite a lot. :(

Pretty damn boring.

Rest of the mixes look sorted though, I'll check them later.

I listened to the first Hooj mix, mint stuff :)

On the sidenote, does anyone know how to pronounce "Hooj"?
SYSTEM-J
"Huge". Hooj Choons is a phonetic version of "Huge Tunes", "huge" being slang vernacular for "very good". I'm sure you've heard people express their love for a track by saying "choon" on TA before, which is a play on the old Tune! signs people held up Back In The Day.

ah.. thanks for the clarification :)

Brilliant, I'm familiar with most of the Hooj stuff but it's nice to have the classics in a few mixes. Also I've never really checked out much jackpot stuff so I'll be listening later
