you can't get everything you want in one shot. you need to get your priorities straight first... then you can start doing what you want. unless you whore yourself out with loans and working like hell and missing out on life.
and to be honest, i don't think a history major is that intensive to the point that you can't work while you study. at least for the first 3 years of uni you should be fine working full time or close to full time and taking almost a full load of classes. |

obviously anyone savvy advises against going into debt but you can get a student loan for your first year - say 30k and enjoy your actual first year of college and take less student loan as time goes on by working part time.
seriously the 1st and 2nd year of college are not only life changing but a part of my own life i would never give up, if i didn't have such a good part time job in college i would have looked at this route
