When they bring out a GTA that combines a proper FPS engine (i.e Unreal 2 etc), and with a proper driving/physics engine ala Gran Turismo etc, the game will be good.
Until then, it's ing .
GTA 2 is the best of the series for me so far. |
The series was never about making precision sniper shots and having the perfect lap time around the city...maybe if you manage to not be such a tight ass, you could appreciate being a gangster in GTA. |

Not a single review lower than a 95 :wtf:
Hopefully I will have my hands on a copy in about a half hour.

50 dollars a year holy . How the does one pay 50 dollars a year. Seriously, if you can't afford 50 dollars a year you shouldn't be playing video games. |
It's not the price point that matters. Just pointing out the value of free online gaming via dedicated servers vs. $50 a year for laggy P2P online gaming. |

so i picked up my own on x360.
i played both ps3 / xbox 360 HDMI back to back.
no quality difference (re: rjt). i found the xbox 360 controls easier to use. thats about it.
the only diff is that xbox has achievements, ps3 does not. online is the same. ps3 has a marketplace exactly like x360 so downloadable will be cross i would assume.
load times are identical. ps3 has about a 10-15 minute 1 time install, xbox 360 is instant. either then that everything else is the same. |

hmmm...no graphical differences. Interesting! 360 might be the winner. |

Sure you can, just because it's not in monthly fees doesn't mean there won't be charges - Sony's online service is barely running right now, there's little content to it, so of course there isn't going to be a charge. Once Home and the new PSN arrive (which was supposed to be last week, and is now open ended), expect drastic changes in how Sony's online service changes.
I just don't believe Sony's service, once fully up and running, will be all together that different from Microsoft's. |
I hate to say that you are probably right, but you are probably right. The only possible saving grace for free PS3 online Home capabilities would be if they throw advertisements literally everywhere. |

Got, it's great - Francois K's station is epic, and now I'm forcing myself to finish homework so that I can actually get into the story later on tonight.
Have only had like 30 to 45 minutes with it so far, but even just the opening segments lived up to the hype.

| I've never been interested in GTA, but I might have to make an exception for this instalment. No rush, though... |
