A laptop.
It was brand new and cost me $97.
Clearance deals are awesome - this was definitely a matter of being in the right place at the right time.
I've used it like twice. |

As an affluent shopaholic (as opposed to one that buys on credit), I have countless items to add to this list;
Every new item of makeup imaginable that sits in its packaging until I use it once or twice (and end up giving it to someone less fortunate)
Foot bath (long gone are the days I used to have time to do my feet)
Electric manicure set (a nail file suffices)
Hand held sewing machine (yeah, the intention was there!)
Ion hairdryer (dries my hair out)
Economist subscription (as if I have time!!)
Hot stone massage kit (time, again, fingers are better anyway) |

I'm guilty of an MD purchase (although it wasn't useless at the time, it was actually pretty damn cool for a few years). And my parents bought me an electric can opener, I'd never have bought one for myself.
An electric carving knife is actually useful if you cook and often have company over. Seriously, just try carving a turkey or slow-roast without one.
Other useless items of mine include a hand blender and several articles of clothing that looked a lot better in the store. |

if you are talking about laser printers, they usually sell the printer with like a 25% full cartridge.... so say you got 250 prints out of the first one.... when you spend the $70 on the cartridge your gonna get like 1000 prints.... so it seems like a rip-off but its worth it to buy the new cartridge
those numbers arent accurate BTW but you get what I am trying to say |

Laser printers (a) aren't cheap, and (b) don't use ink. |

:wtf:
i bought my Samsung laser for 70 bucks, the starter cartridge yields 3000 pages, the full cartridge from costco is 70 bucks and yields about 4000 pages, far from a rip off (IMO). |
