Recommended clubs in NY!

| Im taking a trip to NY this weekend.. I was hoping someone could recommend some clubs with good music and ambience. I know it would make more sense to post this in the NY thread section but people in TO have good taste... Good lounges would do to.. I know Mark Knight is playing there tomorrow.. any other big names playing this weekend? Thanx a lot! |

| Love on Macdougal. Has more of an "underground" feel. Looks like from the outside but is a very nice club. It reminded me of system with a very friendly "partier" crowd. |

^^my fav smaller clubs....tend to play more housey-techy than the bigger clubs like Pacha and Mansion.....Mansion is big on bottle service (RIP crobar...my fav club :( :() Webster Hall is a decent large club.
There is also Shelter, Rebel and Studio B, but you would have to look into if anyone is playing there.
For DJ's/parties, look at the sticky on the top of the NYTA thread, it gives a full list.
**keep in mind that if you are expecting Toronto-type clubs you will be HUGELY dissapointed. The scene here is pretty wack in terms of the clubs itself.
Also, if you are here on sundayl, I would highly recommend Water Taxi Beach. Outdoor venue, perfect view of the city, good toons, etc......Think: party at Cherry Beach-type thing. |
