No, sorry for any confusion. It's not like a disco ball. You'll see soon enough. It's just like the picture. It's an LED light cube. If you have the memebership card I suppose it may light up differently. If you have an ipod or similar device it supposed to interact as well. Maybe you can download a track if it's wi-fi or something. It's just something fun to do. I briefly talked to some guys that worked for the "company" (Minus ?) and it didn't seem like it was actually working to it's full potential.

we were laughing at it too. the write up hypes it up too much. maybe somebody will win a special prize and we'll all be wishing we had "interacted" with the cube. It could be comparable to wearing goofy glasses or something similar - not to be take too seriously.
Agreed, it's the music that matters, but sadly it wasn't that great that night. Not good enough to make me want to go to LA for it. Now if I lived in LA I would go for sure.
Have fun ! Somebody please find out what that last track is. It's a mean grinding (not Grindhouse) track that ends with some sweeping instrumental synth. He'll probably end with the same track. |

Yeah, heard it was a cluster too, glad I didnt go. I actually stayed at a hotel party and went to sleep round 5am, which was good cause I had much more festival energy. |

Supposedly if you buy this membership card you can "interact" with this cube. It saves your information and there's some kind of contest at the end of the year with prizes and stuff. Also if you have a wireless device you can log into the cube and get tracks or something.
Doesn't matter anyway, the cube won't be in LA. Detroit was the only US stop for the Contakt parties.
edit // Grand prize is the full Native Instruments software package or something, or maybe it was Traktor Studio. 2nd place prize is a xone mixer I think. I don't remember. |
