Neither will I. No one has any idea about how much I miss playing out.
I remember that night being a true challenge as it was one of the Rane rotary mixers...which didn't bother me except I couldn't get it to monitor both track in the headphones at the same time. So had to resort to listening to the headphone in the left ear, monitor in the right, (and vice versa) and standing to where both sounded equal. The other being I only expected to play half as long before SC got on. After I finish recording this other prog mixset, hopefully I can re-network with some of the guys at nightculture or so. |

Yeah I ended up buying every last copy of Off The World. When I got the intro one I knew I had to find a reason to make a mix kicking off with it. |

hahahah naw he said he used sonar to cut that together. Although he needs to come by my crib the next time we do another house party so he can get on my CDJs and do a live webcast when we start our net show back up. |

lol, gotta clear a few things up looks like
This particular mix wasn't recorded, as I currently do not own any CDJs or have access to them. For 4 years I have used Cakewalk Sonar to make custom edits, and this year I tried using it to create mixes. I still like to make to listen to on the road.
Now..honestly IMO, recording mixes with real hardware is ALOT easier than stiching them together and trrying to get the automation levels right. Recording only take 80 minutes to record, and if the recording is done right maybe an hour mastering the mix to be as loud as possible without distorting.
Doing it like this one was... takes up much more time and is alot more frustrating. I believe I could have done a better job if I had my CDJ-1000s and the DJM 600 mixer.
Then again, the original purpose of this mix was for a skydiver friend's birthday present, not a demo :)
Hope everyone liked it, can't wait to play out again.
P.S. I'm lucky I didn't get myself killed at Skydive Houston yesterday. Shiiiiiiit... :wtf: :rolleyes: |
