To be honest, it was probably pretty harsh of me to suggest that it was a completely pretentious act to be worried about pronunciation/accent, because I myself find it very irritating when people pronounce things horribly wrong, and am also embarrassed to find out when I've been saying something the wrong way for a long time.
What is Thüringer?

Thüringer Bratwurst is a delicacy mainly sold in Bavaria and Thuringia (ger: Thüringen), that is made from a different recipe than ordianary Bratwurst, and required the ingredients to be from Thuringia to bear that name.
It looks like this
and tastes a little "sweeter", more aromatic and less hearty than other Bratwurst.
