If I really think about it, it surprises me how many jokes and funny stories revolve around situations where people get hurt, made fun of, or screwed over in some way.
The only kind of jokes that don't seem to do this are puns and absurdist / non-sequitur jokes. |

I've been thinking about that as well. I remember there are several different theories about humour, and there were quite a few different explanations. Kierkegaard, I think, used to link humour to what he called "incongruence", which seems to be something like non-sequiturs and stuff.
It's strange how schadenfreude seems to be quite common, even in places where this is not a even a known word (such as here)... |

I find that most of the jokes in the c0r somehow make fun of gays in some way. But , if a gay guy can take a then he can take a joke ya know? |
