okay last night was the OFFICIAL start of spring.

got there by 11.30ish (thanks sasha for the guestlist).
caught the last hour or so of brad copeland's set...some nice warm-up tunes, perfect to get the night started...loved it when he played Scope - Toronto (Original mix), what a tune!!

the Fair started right about 12.30ish...and it didn't take me long to get on to the Fair's ferris wheel...groovy proggy goodness for the next 2-2.5 hours. my body was moving like a bellydancer to the groove. and then he went to play some less funky but still groovy prog tunes that got my feet stomping for a LONG time. I think he played quite a few tunes from his recent sets but some that I could id were:
Jay Lamar - Futourist (the Dana Bergquist remix i think)
Arno Cost & Norman Day - Apocalypse (I was a little surprised to hear him drop this one..I associate it being a very swedish house mafia kinda tune which I haven't heard a lot in any of Luke's sets)

footy is truly a great room. my first time there and I was loving the sound.

my first time meeting a few TAs I spotted...DigiNut, Cribby, Knox..it was nice meeting you all. I'm Sagar (saa-grr).

overall, a night full of the Luke Fair groove bliss which I
it was a nice change from the dark prog diggers gave us....summer is going to be awesomeness.

Last night was trully a blast! I haven't had so much fun at Footy since Danny Howells in September ;-) Second time seeing Luke Fair, and I am officially a fan now. His set was sooooooooo good, I can only imagine how sick he is going to be on the boat cruise..Can't wait!

Search & Rescue, did we meet last night by any chance?

no I don't think we did. but now that I see your avatar and those pictures from the downtown lunch thread, I'm sure I saw you last night.

I will next time :)

oh man, the amount of overthinking I did for asking "ummmmmmmmm, are you...are you a TA?" :nervous: lol

p.s. I can't get enough of Luke Fair...listening to his latest stockholm set right now. heck at one point, I even thought of doing the egyptian dance last night. :D

I was very happy that Luke played in a similar vein to the Kiss 100 material and the other sets I've been hearing from him. I came prepared for the usual onslaught of minimal tech house but he actually played very funky. Quite possibly the best night out I've had since I started going out again this year. Wish I could have stayed 'til close.

Crowd was madness. Even more madness than Danny Howells was, I think. And the bar was... well, those of you who were there know.

And if the townie retards who were screaming unfunny gay jokes at the top of their lungs to each other in the lineup behind me happen to be reading this, I hope you get run over by a bus.

That is all.

P.S. You've got some weird friends, Jimmy!

great night, the crowd was awesome(some hot ass women for a little club) aswell as the vibe. luke set was good at times, i felt as if he played a lot of filler tracks, but thats just me. i also think FW sound system desperately needs some eq. the lows drown out the highs and you cant really hear what the dj is trying to do with the music.

IMO all they need to do is turn down the bass.

Does the bass really need to be soo loud that it rattles the windows in the building adjacent to it. not to mention the fact you go home feeling like a WW2 veteran.

Whoot! It was great, Luke was great!

edit: i think the crowd was excellent, very courteous and pretty, towards the second half of the set people cleared a bit and there was plenty of space to dance undisturbed.

Apocolypse is a bomb tune!
Cribby
A smile never left my face the whole time I was there. I can't believe I almost didn't make it!

+1

Outstanding night. Luke played the best set/performance of the year so far, IMO.

I'm not sure if I have that day off from work, but I already have a ticket.

If I don't make it to the boat cruise party, I'm converting to worshipping Blood God Khrone because it's just bloody damn cruel that I've missed out on so many Luke Fair parties. (And how the hell am I suppose to be considered his fan when I can't even make it out?)
