| I have had an 8 gig ipod nano for two years now. I have had no problems with it so I don't think you would go wrong by getting one, the size is good (although they have changed it since I got mine) for the types of things you want to use it for. I got mine as a gift, if I was purchasing it myself I would have done a solid comparison to the sandisk and creative products before I got it. |

hey lisa! =) long time no talk
FWIW I own a zen 16gb and I love it. Was never an ipod fan so I went this route. it's really light and compatible, you'll need to do some fiddling with the conversion software to load in videos but it's nothing big. |

| u won't go wrong with either. Just choose one that fits u, and has what u want as far as storage and looks. Don't listen to these tools who say stay away from Ipod, as they probably dropped it down 3 flights of stairs or dunked it in a toilet and wonder why it doesn't work like it used to. They both are excellent players. |

| I bought my 80Gb classic a couple of months ago and i coudnt be happier with it and i use it all the time. In the car, in school (why listen to boring lectures when i could be geeking it out by watching anime) and while exercising. Like it was pointed out already, if you dont drop it on the floor all the time it will be ok. |

| I have owned both, and I'd go with the iPod simply because of size. |

| them both I tried them and they suck. Go with Sandisk or Iriver. The convenience with sandisk and Iriver mp3 players is that you wont need to install any kind of software. When you plug them into any usb port they will show up as another drive. Then you can transfer your music easy as drag and drop. |

oh my, using iTunes is extremely difficult, as the whole drag and drop thing takes some getting used to I guess... |

I have a 4GB Nano (1st gen) and it's great...compact, just enough storage.
I bought my Zen for it's line-in recorder and it quickly usurped my iPod as my prefered player. The headphone level is a little colder, but the battery life is excellent and the interface is comparable. |

I have a 30 GB Zen.
Problems:
- volume is too low even at the maximum
- started taking a bit long to search for tunes and will get a big confused at times, once I started filling it with lots of music, like 15GB
- the only way to charge it is by connecting it by USB to the computer, there's a normal electricity charger but you have to buy it separate
Apart from these issues, it rocks. Plenty of functions, good audio quality, etc. |

it's not hard, seriously. i've had the 3rd generation iPod for years and I haven't had a single problem with it since, only thing i dislike is the battery life. if you take care of your things, they'll work. |
