ROM = Designed by Libeskind and is a cookie cutter design that he uses in most of his projects.

i stand corrected, always end up confusing those two.

I forgot to throw in: Toronto FC, Raptors, and Leafs as a PRO and MLSE as a CON. :D

Oh yes, and our high cost of wireless data as a CON. But I guess this is more of a federal problem than anything else.

Nope, Torontonian :)

I thought that then talking about the CITY of London in my post AND Emery's post about the city culture AND the fact that the thread is about TORONTO would make that clear, Alex :p

hehe, opps.

well we do have a good list of theatres, opera, museums, etc. Some of our cultural centers and events are on the same level as any in the world like TIFF.

I have only moved to Toronto a year and a half ago from Kentucky, so I am still learning many things, but so far this is what I like:

- Multiculturalism and individualism
- TTC (even though people complain all the time, but compared to Ukraine and Kentucky, it's great)
- Career opportunities
- Many well-read, educated, intelligent and open-minded people (compared to the States especially)
- Amazing night life
- Lots of very good restaurants and good food
- Shopping, especially downtown like Eaton Centre and BCE place
- Hot dogs
- High park, since I live next to it
- Queen and College West
- Kengsington Market
- People are way more health concious than in the States
- Smoking pot is no big deal
- Patios

Things I don't like:
- There is really not much architecture
- Lots of homeless people downtown and weirdos, especially on queen streetcar
- Don't see too many people who dress up, it's mostly very casual, which is ok, but I expected that in a big city as Toronto people would dress better
- Materialistic/pretentious people
- Too many ginos
- Depressed people on the subway

Absolutely I agree with you but I meant, as Emery did (I think) that we don't have a 'culture' of our own which would be a blend of all the cultures that live here.

I don't see this as a problem at all. I hope this is a reflection of generally laidback attitude many Canadians have.

Well, that's great to be laid-back, which I am myself. To each their own, right. But, growing up in Ukraine, we were always taught to dress up, wear more dresses, skirts, heels, etc...I think most of the Europe is like that.

Even when my friend from New York came here, she was surprised to see that people dress way too casually.

Cons:
- Undeveloped waterfront

Put this under pro for me. That undeveloped waterfront is the reason Guv is still open.
