I listened to a sample of one of his new tracks the other day and it sounded like he was copying prydz heavily. 1983 was 'nuff tuneage though.

I'm glad things are going well for him though, he's pretty big now...first few times I saw him no one had any idea who he was.

Didn't know his following was getting bigger. I would've thought the opposite since he's taking the path of every other DJ/producer out there. Thought he was at his peak when he came down here in 2006(?), around the same time as his balance release. His show actually put him in my "top 10 favorite sets."

I guess respect needs to be given when deserved though, the man likes variety.

Dunno what happened to him, he used to play such great sets. I think he kind of lost direction (at least from my pov)

The tracks are proper club music, being a talented DJ, his production work is pretty good. Its not like every DJ out there makes great music, hes one of the few that does well at balancing the two at least.
Your just a hater biotch. ;p

iplaywitlights...more like iplaywithpenis.

No idea what the personal attack is for, but power to you for going with the screen name bit, never seen that one. My mistake for coming up with it I guess.

Anyways, "proper club music" my ass. Really like to know what clubs you attend to make this assumption.

And there's by far more than just a "few" DJs out there who can hold their own on the production side too.

edit: and nice try on the ninja edit you tool.

This is the video you came up with? Everyone standing around. Well done.

New (I don't know what your idea of new is, seeing as how Paolo isn't a new DJ :wtf: ) DJs that produce well:
Jamie Jones
Martin Buttrich (don't really think I need to go further than here)
Aeroplane
Martin Landsky
Dixon
Guy Gerber
Sebo K
Sascha Dive
Falko Brockseiper
Jimpster

Keep going?

I wouldnt put many of those in the same league of Paolo Mojo when it comes to talent and success. There really arent that many talented DJ's that have a lot of talent/success in DJ'n and also have great production work. I guess the reason why I point it out is that Paolo Mojo has a rather successful DJ career for the past few years, and manages to put out decently good music. But still even if all those guys did fit the talent/success bill thats a small list, compared to the amount of people who DJ and Produce, especially these days.

I'm a huge fan of Digweed, but just because he plays Mojo's tracks doesn't trump the fact that they lack in quality (imo).

And needing names for people who can produce as well as DJ is pretty ing stupid. I think it's almost a necessity these days if you want to be in the big league...

bas named quite a few good ones (Jimpster and Buttrich first came to mind), but I'd like to add Neil Quigley and James Zabiela too, who imo are far better known for their mixing capabilities.

Anyways, off to work...continue this later :)

You're wrong. They are definitely on par with Paolo in terms of a DJ career. Just because none of them would be caught dead touring with Dubfire doesn't mean they're not successful.

edit // DEFINITELY Neal Quigley!! He's a fantastic DJ and his tracks are luuuussshhh.

And Lions...I can keep that list going if you'd like.
