Danny Howells @ Stereo - Sun/May.18 (pg. 4)
View this Thread in Original format
fullhouse
going to Stereo .. . . :D :toothless
Enjoy
It was really really hot and suffocating - probably because of all those half naked CONANS everywhere, lol. The fact that Danny wasn't really playing what I half-expected didn't help either.

Oh well, next time.
Enjoy
BTW, can anyone ID the track played around 3:30-4:00 with a really distinct instrument in the background? (sounded a bit like a cello .. or something)

so this was a really last minute decision to come to this. the main thing that steered my towards that direction was that night he played in september. all i have to say is...this party got grimey quick! in the span of an hour and a half it went from a bearable atmosphere to a disgusting, shameless moshpit of sweat. on a brighter note, musically this night was top notch. dont really see what else enjoy was expecting. some buildups were a little too long at times. kind of felt like he was just trying to fill up space in his set. recognized a few bangers but cant think of them right now. agreeing with a friend of mine, stereo really needs to work on ventilation. those temperatures reached inside can be pretty dangerous. i'd hate to say it, but last night's unbearable heat competed with armin @ stereo and ferry @ circus. these clubs really need to haul ass and work on those little details that count and stop trying to rake in every penny they can make. last but not least, always a pleasure to see some familiar faces (as well as new).

Well, I'm always more interested in the first few hours of Danny - when he plays really smooth. Unfortunately, when I came in 3 it was already BOOM BOOM BOOM... :(

Enjoy
I don't know, maybe I was just too tired from Piknic + the heat = :sadgreen:

that dancefloor was DISGUSTING. i wanted it to clear out so i could dance...no chance! luckily, was up in the booth with maher & our tiny crew most of the night...was a tad cooler up there but still pretty unbearable. i say it everytime: danny's the coolest, warmest, quirkiest DJ i've ever hung out with; with lee burridge being a close 2nd. around 710am, things got ridiculously progressive and i was basking in it :) he's alwaysssssss in the mix hehe...

having attended all 4 of his dig deeper nights, i think this was possibly the best one yet...had to leave at 830am; was too tired...he delivered. it was everything i expected and more. full review later this week; after my exam tomorrow :)
